There are many stakeholders involved when it comes to welfare technology. Our goal is that all stakeholders (Seniors/next of kin/volunteers,Health workers, Purchasing/technical, Politicians and management) should be seen and they should be involved when we decide to use technology.
Seniors/next of kin/volunteers
The seniors themselves need to embrace the tools we are using to serve them. If both seniors and next of kin feel reluctant and do not see the value of using technology, it will be very hard to success. We need to respect and understand how they understand privacy. We need to inspire them to see the health benefits of safety, a good night sleep without being awake. We need to embrace the freedom of staying at home as long as they can, without compromising on safety.
Health workers
This is the real heroes of our community - we owe them to have the best tools available. When we implement new technology, we need to make room/time to train and establish best practice for the new tools. Every healthcare workers have care, quality and safety in their heart of the work. Let's support them to master and feel safe using new technology.
Purchasing/Technical
The purchasing department need to understand what value they should archive to be able to evaluate and compare technologies, in terms of specifications, price and security requirement. Can we reduce numbers of failed call out caused by false or inaccurate alarms. What is cost of getting staff up to speed using technology. What is the cost of not using the technology caused by wrong type of technology, or lack of training.
Politicians and Management
Allocates budget to investments and resources. It is important that we all understand that it takes more resources to implement new technology and healthcare personnel need time to adopt and learn how to utilise the new tools. Implementing new technology does not reduce need for human beings, but it empower staff to increase quality and service more caretakers. Be reasonable with expectations - there is plenty of value and benefits, but let it grow over time - not same month as implementation.
How does your municipality want to appear? Do you want to succeed? Do you want to be attractive in the market for healthcare workers?
There can be several reasons for this.
Have you removed the small black plastic cover on the Night Owl Camera?
Do you supervise from your work PC? Try to do an inspection by logging in to Nattugla in the browser, from your mobile (Disconnect from WiFi) If you manage to do an inspection here, the following ports must be opened in the firewall.
The PoE adapter must have a permanent light.
If there is a flashing light, there may be a fault with the power supply. Try a different cable from the power socket to the PoE adapter.
Yes, this is managed in Hepro Respons when the ex-caregiver has made a mark with a user. Or you can use a QR code that pauses Night Tugla for 30 or 60 minutes respectively. This can be done by visitors in the room.
If you don't find the answer to your question, don't worry, we are here by your side.
